Incentives!!!

To kick off our first official month together as a team, I'm going to have a few contests! I want to get us started off with a bang! The prizes are going to be something that will help your business even further.

It's pretty simple. There are 3 categories that you can win (and yes, you can win more then one.):

  • Top Sales
  • Top Dreambuilder (most recruits)
  • Most Parties
The winners will receive the following:
  • Top Sales: Pack of order forms
  • Top Dreambuilder: Living your dreams fliers and booklets
  • Most Parties: Hostess fliers and polka dot bags
As you can see, the prizes help your business. If you are having lots of sales, you need more order forms. If you are passing out opportunity packets at every show, you will get more recruits. You need more opportunity packets. If you have the most shows, you are making more hostess packets. You need more hostess packets.

The contest will run August 1-28. I will announce the winner on August 29 at our team meeting. If you are a local girl, you can take your prize home that night. If you are a out of state team member I will mail your prize to you. Everyone has a chance to win! In the event of a tie, the prize will be split equally between the winners.

I know you all are going to do great this month! We get to kick off the new catalog and our new team together and I'm looking forward to you all surpassing all of my expectations!

Check back throughout the month for tips/articles on recruiting, sales and bookings!

Quit Asking and Start Offering

I know we are all familiar with this scenario. We have a show booked because we asked someone to do us a favor. She said yes because she is our aunt or best friend but she really didn't know why she was having this show or what the benefit to her was. We get there and 2 people have shown up and it's not even enough to qualify as a show! This can be a very frustrating situation. Both you and your hostess have spent precious hours for this show and neither one of you really benefited from the night.

So, how do we prevent this from happening? Simply put, quit asking and start offering! So many times we get caught up in our needs that we forget to think about the hostess. Instead of asking them to do us a favor, offer them the opportunity to earn free and discounted products from this fabulous company you just joined!

See which one of these sounds more appealing to you (taken from Build it Big):
Example 1: "Hi Susie, I've just joined Thirty-One and I'm really excited but I need people to book parties to help me get started. Would you have a party in the next three weeks for me?"
Example 2: "Hi Susie, I've just joined Thirty-One and I'm really excited. The products are great and I get to hold parties and give away free and discounted products. I would love to offer you the opportunity to earn some of these products by having a few of your friends and me over for a fun-filled evening. The dates I have available are Tuesday the third or Sunday the first. Which one is better for you?

If you were your hostess, which one would you say yes too? As consultants, we need to remember that we are offering people a service and a great opportunity.

You can use this same tactic to call people now about the new fall catalog that is releasing on August 1!

Thirty-One is based on Proverbs 31

    Proverbs 31:10-31

10 A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies.
    11
Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value.
    12
She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life.
    13
She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands.
    14
She is like the merchant ships, bringing her food from afar.
    15
She gets up while it is still dark; she provides food for her family and portions for her servant girls.
    16
She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard.
    17
She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks.
    18
She sees that her trading is profitable, and her lamp does not go out at night.
    19
In her hand she holds the distaff and grasps the spindle with her fingers.
    20
She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy.
    21
When it snows, she has no fear for her household; for all of them are clothed in scarlet.
    22
She makes coverings for her bed; she is clothed in fine linen and purple.
    23
Her husband is respected at the city gate, where he takes his seat among the elders of the land.
    24
She makes linen garments and sells them, and supplies the merchants with sashes.
    25
She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.
    26
She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue.
    27
She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness.
    28
Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her:
    29
"Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all."
    30
Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.
    31
Give her the reward she has earned, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.
